Stone Mountain, GA

Hey There

Our daughter is having her first baby this summer, her and her husband live near Stone Mountain, GA. Has anyone stayed in the full hookup areas of the RV park? We will be there for 2 weeks this summer and we are wondering if its an OK park. I have not found any other RV parks near the Atlanta area that have any decent reviews. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, two years ago. A nice park, but a tough neighborhood outside of the park. Full hook-up camp sites are nice. A lot to see and do in the park. Neat laser show at night, train ride, and tram up the mountain. Go to the web site and check it out.

Nice camp ground. Trail C has some of the best spots. Bath houses are kept clean. We have stayed there a couple times. Once on C and once on trail m. The pull out on trail M was like camping on side of road. Trail C we stayed in 84 and it was an uphill back to get the trailer in. Wasn't too bad once you got the angle right.

Nice place with lots to do. Just look closely at the map for the best spots. They just opened up a new area last year that has some nice spacious spots.

We were there in Nov. stayed overnite (got there at 12 noon). nice place and very beautiful setting. we didn`t go to any of the sites, we were on our way to Disney. we really liked it and would definitely choose it again. we were in the electric/water section and had a nice view of the mountain. you will not be disappointed.

There's also a small shopping/craft/show area there that is (or at least was) run by the folks who run Silver Dollar City.

Stone Mountain is nice. The lazer show is awesome. For an urban destination it is really good.
