You cannot go wrong really with any of the NYS Parks in the 1000 Islands area! We just returned from a week camping at Kring Point State Park. Most sites are waterfront...not a huge park like Wellesley but very few bad sites. The best sites are on the "point," sites 90 - 110 I think...
The sites are not always easy to get in and out of due to the rocky terrain so make sure you do book a site that says it is large enough for your camper - there is not much chance of fitting a large camper in a spot for a smaller one like you can do is some campgrounds.
No pool but who needs one when the St. Lawrence River is right outside your door!
Bring tubes for floating in the River and watch the kids jump off the rocks into the water! It doesn't get any better.
I am trying to post some pics of our site and the view but my computer is not cooperating...will keep trying!
