And yes, we are staying at the Fort! We will be at the Fort for 14 days!!
14 nights? Wow! I'm so not letting wife see that. :-)

The place I suggested was a perfect overnight stop- super level pull thru site. We got in late one night, stayed hitched up, dumped tanks and left the next morning. (Coming home- that was the start of my winterizing.)

Yea! 14 nights!! we have been planning a year and a half...my parents and in-laws are coming down for the first week, then a week to ourselves!

Rincon is definitely on the list, as is James Island. The place Rajin suggested south of Savannah looks great, but it would be about a 12 hour drive for us...that may be a lil far... James Island and Rincon are both around 10 hours driving time, which is still pushing it a bit but I think it is doable...

Our schedule opened up a bit and we now have an extra day to travel!! James Island may be the winning stop as we now have 2 full days we can spend there!

Awesome! It seems like a good stopping point on the way down...DW really likes historical sites and it dosen't look like too bad of a trip on down to Disney

If you go to Ga SP web site you will find a great park in Richmond hill just off I95. It about 15 min but great fort and lots of animals. Its also a secure campground. There is a park west (.05) mi off I95 in Brunswick Ga. There are several county parks in that area that are great.
Be careful of I4 Orlando. Enjoy the trip. There is a lot of construction at I95&I10 in Jacksonville, Fl. I go around 295 beltway East over the bridge.
