Last pic for this thread...typical sunsets from campground beach looking west into the heart of Destin, FL!

Beautiful photo. How far is the beach from campsite? Can I walk there from park?

Approx 3/4 mile trek by foot, bike or SP tram then about 100 yard walk on boardwalk over the dunes to the beach.
I noticed many campers biking it, some walking & others taking the tram...we biked it with the kids every time.

Yes, Grayton SP's beach is very similar to Topsail except you can drive up to boardwalk that leads to the beach...also campsites are not as shady as Topsail.
Distance from campsites to beach parking lot about the same distance as TS.

Topsail is a wonderful park!
Don't miss a hike in the piney scrub behind the dunes. They have marked
trails.
Also don't forget your bicycles. They have great paved bike paths and
also at least a mile or 2 around inside the CG not to mention the bike
path running miles and miles along 30A!!

For those of you going to TS...if you get hungry for a pizza night, I highly recommend Fat Daddy's...just east from campground in a strip center along Hwy 98...awesome pizza

We already planning on being back July 2014...but have to wait for the 11 month window to reserve but you have to do it that early to be able to pick your exact site

Those sites are near (easy walking distance) the bathhouse, pool, shuffle board & camp store...the street it's located on is a one way which keeps the traffic to a minimum but the street next to it is the main road for everyone to enter & exit the campground, tent & cabin areas.

Sites are more open with a lot less shrubbery compared to other sites in campground.
Have fun

Question, please

I just changed our sites to 64 & 66. both are saying 50 amp service. Is there 30 amp service available at those sites as well? Or is there a plug thing we can get to change our 30 amp to 50 amp? Or do I need to change our reservations back to sites 7+8? Thanks!

My experience down there has been, they have both 30 & 50 amp plugs in the 50 amp power boxes. They also have 15/20 amp GFI plug in there boxes also. Enjoy.

Great - thank you both. I feel much better about switching sites now. Looking forward to it - still a long time off, though :-(
