My wife and I, along with some friends have visited there a couple of times. Just remember, no mater what the temperature outside, it's always significantly cooler down in the depths, so bring a sweater or light jacket. It's quite entertaining and informative, there's a guide that accompanies you the entire tour, and they are quite willing to answer your questions all along the way. Certainly one of the highlights is the boat tours on the underground lake. It is amazing how large it is, how many fish are in it, and the questiosn that arise as to how they got there. Typical souvenir shops looking for your money at the end of the tour.
After that........there's tons to see and do in Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and I mean tons. The general scenery approaching the Smoky Mountains is breathtaking. If you can't find somehting to see, do, enjoy in this area, you're just the kind of person to enjoy vacationing. Great KOA in Pigeon Forge too. Depending on the time of year, book early.
