Thousand Trails NC Recommendations

Has anyone gone to one of the Thousand Trails campgrounds in North Carolina? Would you recommend one over the others?

It would be a 6-8 hour drive for us. Not sure the 'free' TT camping would be worth the drive if the campgrounds aren't that great. Our 1 year TT membership came with our trailer, and we've only been to one TT campground so far. That one I'd rate so-so to poor.

Thanks.

I'd like to know the same thing. We are also getting a "free" year membership with our TT purchase.

I am on the other side of the country, but I also got a free one year membership with my trailer purchase. So far we have been to two different TT "resorts". We are going to a third one on Thursday. The two we have been to so far were very nice. I wasn't impressed with some of the employees either. We have two little ones and went in the trailer to get their pj's on for bed. We had a fire going outside. We got talked to for leaving the fire unattended. I explained to the gentleman that it was only 5 minutes. He said he didn't care, that it doesn't take two people to dress our kids.

Once our membership expires, I will never go to a TT campground again.
