The only way around is I-285 which can add an hour to your travels. I usually try to go through Atlanta on I-75 pulling my TT in the afternoon or evening, there is also the HOV lanes if you have 2 or more in the vehicle.

I have passed thru Atlanta numerous times over the years towing. Time it where you hit Atlanta about 10:00 AM and 90% of the time you will be fine. Don't take the bypass as most of the people on that have no clue where they are going.

Just remember, I-75 bears off to the right after you go thru downtown. If you miss the turn off you will be on 85. Don't ask me how I know

I don't know where you will be in Florida but we usually stay either at the KOA in Forsythe or Lake Tobesoffkee Recreation Area Cladsotone Park(exit 5 on 475) near Macon which is $25 a night for full hook up on a cement pad with a beautiful view of the lake. This allows us to time Atlanta to our advantage.

The best bet I know to drive thru Atlanta is to stay in the HOV lanes, whether going north to south or south to north. As long as you have two occupants in the vehicle you're good to go. Stay in the HOV lane, avoid any "left hand" exits and it's a breeze. Of course the time of day plays an important part in how long it will take to get thru Atlanta and making sure you are fueled up before hitting Atlanta you won't have to worry about any exit/entry ramp traffic.

Only problem with that is if you have any trouble with your unit now you got to figure how to cross 8 lanes to get to a safe spot. Later RJD
