Traveling help near Baltimore

On my way to college park Maryland for football next weekend from Jersey, it's my understanding I cannot travel through the harbor tunnel with propane on board. Does anyone know how I can get down there with an alternate route? Thanks for all your help! Safe travels to all this fall.

I would take 295 to 301 to Rt 50 to 495 to College park. Nice dual lane road, minimal traffic one toll Chesapeake Bay Bridge ( only on trip home).

Take I-95 to I-695 around the east/south side and back to I-95.

You cannot go into either tunnel in Baltimore on I-95 and I-895.

Lots of people talk about the route like Flybob recommends; but I personally feel like that's painfully out of the way and you still have to suffer 495. IMO, don't bother.

You can go either way around Baltimore on 695 (beltway). Heading.g towards Towson tends to land heavier traffic during peak hours. Heading towards Glen Burnie will have you cross the key bridge which has a toll. Either way should be fine.

My vote is for the 301 to 50 route, nicer drive but does seem a little longer.

I live in Baltimore and go to school in College Park. To skip the tunnel, do as the others suggest and go west on 695 until you hit 95 again. Go south on 95. Make sure that you are in the 2nd lane to the right when you approach 495, as you need to make a left exit right after 95 splits in two. You'll then head toward Route 1 to College Park.

In my opinion, 95 is much faster than 295. 295 is only 2 lanes in some places, and it tends to get backed up periodically.

I agree on both parts and travel that route when I head down.
