Trenton Ga to Cloudland Canyon SP

We are flat landers from S Louisiana. We are making our first trip to the mountains in a few weeks. Has anyone traveled hwy 136 from Trenton GA to Cloudland Canyon State park. How steep is it. I have a F150 pulling a 33' TT loaded to about 7klbs. Would this climb be a problem? Is there another way to get there?

The road from Trenton up to Cloudland Canyon is pretty curvy in a couple of places. Just take it nice and slow in those switchback areas and you'll be fine.

I've been to Cloudland Canyon on three separate occasions. Did the cabins twice and tent camped once (23 degrees F). It's a nice park and is well maintained. If you're up to it physically, you can hike down to the bottom of the canyon where the water fall lands. It's really pretty down there. However getting back up is the tough part for some folks. Lots and lots of stairs.

There are plenty of trails around the rim of the canyon if you're into hiking. Lots of great views.

Hope you enjoy it.
