I will be traveling from Nashville to Virginia in September. Can anyone recommend a scenic route?

Parkway is slow going and some tunnels may not have enough clearance. If time permits, I-40 to I-81 to I-77 to I-64. All good roads and very scenic.

Research the BRP for points to jump on the mountain range and exit off on your way to Hampton, VA. There is NO comparison when suggesting an interstate to the scenic Blue Ridge. Drive part of it, its a truely an American gem.
