Get a generator and keep your fresh water tank full. I can't point to a specific spot, but in this area you will often see campers beside the causeways leading to bridges and islands. I have seen folks along the rest areas for the Skyway bridge across Tampa bay. I can't verify, but I've been told some state parks must keep a number of sites open for walk-ins. Good luck. Come on down anyway, you'll have a lifetime of stories.

Ft Desoto is a great campground just south of Clearwater with 238 sights, and they hold back 10% for walk ins, and like the other state parks you can now make "walk-in" reservations online Friday mornings at 7am. Best of luck and congrats on the new TT.

You're not going to find an RV Park on Clearwater Beach, but try just a few miles north - the Dunedin Carefree RV Resort. Its 5 minutes from Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island and right on the Pinellas Bike trail. We've stayed there several times for weekend "Staycations"- we live about 20 minutes south near Indian Rocks Beach.
It's only 15 minutes +/- to Clearwater beach and Downtown Dunedin is a very quaint community with lots of cute shops and eateries. There's also a Publix grocery store less than 2 miles down the road if you prefer to cook at "home."
Nice, full service RV resort.
The management is very pleasant and professional as well.
