trip to florida

Well made our first trip out of state trip with our coachmen 292bhds, michigan to florida. All went well. Made it a 3 day there and 2 day back trip. Have a 4 and 6 yr old. Weren't sure how they would do. Passed with flying colors. Stayed at a couple KOA's on way down and back. All were great. Stayed at Bay Bayou near Tampa when in florida. Nice place. Site was nice and large. Weather wasn't the best. When we left it was 44 degrees in tampa. Stopped only once on way back. Had to beat the snow storm. Only issues were, on way down had a bike in the bed of my truck shift and shatter the side window on my topper. And stood in line to Magic Kingdom for 1:45 to get to parking lot to find out it is closed due to full to capacity. Got free parking pass for it, but went to epcot and 2 hrs later of parking, baggage check, never got tickets, just left and went to busch gardens. Well planning another trip not around christmas or new years. Other than that, camper worked flawless, had to dewinterize and winterize, but that was no problem.

Glad to hear you made in down and back safely. Two days to get back, that's alot of mileage per day but it sure beats driving in snow.

It was. Had a reservation to stop in ky, but looked at weather and decided to try to beat the snow. Would of just stayed another week in tampa and ride it out, but kids had school, which turned out to be 1 snow day and 2 days closed due to below 0 temps. I also have to travel to wisconsin, leaving tomorrow for work. Have update training in sturtevant at BRP/evinrude/johnson. I see your from wisconsin.

We live between Milwaukee and Madison. Schools were closed Monday & Tuesday here for cold temps/wind chill too. Travel safe, at least you won't be hauling a camper behind you.
