We stated at a campground in Williams VT called Limehurst Lake Campground. It is slim pickings in that area of Vermont for full hook-up 50 amp sites. Last year rates were $40.00 a night for full hook-ups; this includes a discount from Good Sam’s.

Maybe we are going to the wrong part of Vermont since there are so few campgrounds? Is there another part of Vermont that is better?

If you stay south central VT you will be in the middle of the green mins with 4 major ski resorts from Killington,Okemo,Bromley and Stratton offering all kinds of things to do from free concerts to mini watermarks etc look around the area there is Horeshoe Acres, TreeFarm Campground,Caton place and a bunch more, also a must see is the Village of Weston, Calvin Coolidges homestead, if you like beer there is the Longtrail and Harpoon breweries.

No; the area is good and lots of things to do such as tour Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory along with Green Mountain coffee and the quarry Rock of Ages.

Refer to the reviews in RV Park review for other comments on the campground it is rated 4 out of 5 stars. Another area is Burlington VT to explore.

Next to Acadia Vermonts one of my favorite areas. I f you dont mind dry camping all the state parks are great and if you hit their web site they have pictures of each site and suggested size limits. Lake Elmore near Morristown is a sweet little SP. Gold brook on the road from Waterbury to Stowe is a good campground its mostly an open field. Puts you 10 minutes from Ben and Jerrys and 10 minutes from Stowe with great restaurants a nice little bike and walking path and Mt Mansfield. Smugglers notch is a must see - cars only no RVs. There are several private campgrounds outside of Burlington and a little city run campground named North Beach sites are tight but its right in the city , on the bike path and access to North beach. Burlington is full of great resstaurants, lake rides and ferry to Platsburg. Ausable chasm is a ferry ride to New York. Green mts are full of great notch rides very scenic tthough much better in October- Vermont is known for its dirt back roads so be prepared when the hard top disappears. If not this year dont forget about Acadia. Just came down RTE 1 and its was great
