Virginia State Parks

In the past couple of weeks, we have been to Chippokes St Pk, James River St Pk, Smith Mountain Lake St Pk, and Hungry Mother St Pk in Virginia. We have had such nice experiences in all 4. They are well managed and maintained. April has been a beautiful month to visit....not crowded at all. We said, more than once, that we want to come here next April.

I am kinda partial, but I too think VA. State Parks are great !!

We did James River State Park 2 years ago. We try to do 1st Landing State Park once or twice every year. Last year we did Kiptopeke State Park Park on the Eastern Shore.....another 2 thumbs up.

Glad to hear Va parks are nice. We have a single night booked in late June at Cunningham Falls SP as an overnight stopping point on our way north to CT - we are actually going inland to avoid the big cities since it will be our first major road trip with our TT. I'll report back after our trip.
If anyone else has been there I'd love to hear an opinion.
