Western Maryland Trip Nov. 2010

We took a weekend trip to Western Maryland back in November 2010. We traveled on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Here are a few shots from our trip. If you're ever in the Cumberland MD area this is a nice way to spend a day.

The day we went they had 11 passenger cars behind the Steam Locomotive and a Diesel on the other end for assisted braking. They usually turn the engine and have it pull the train back down the mountain but with so many cars taking up more room than the siding the engine could not pass to the rear so the diesel pulled us back down. The turntable was really something to witness. They spun it around twice and then backed it off to the train.
