Ooooooooh..

Temps are still pretty fresh. Make sure to pack the real fluffy terry cloth towels for when you get out.

Enjoy.

Actually, temps for this weekend will be in the 70's and 80's with sun for the weekend with 50's at night. Rain on Sunday! It looks beautiful!!

Never been to either place so let us know how you like it. Did a ride through of Happy Hills many years ago. Seemed small and the sites looked tight. I think mostly seasonal campers.

We went to Berkeley Springs last year and had a blast!! Stayed at a little hole in the wall campgrounds in West Virginia they we had pretty much to ourselves. Would definitely love to go back but try a different campground.

You could try staying at Candy Hill Campground near Winchester Va. off interstate 81. You should be less than an hour from Berkeley Springs. There are some good little local restaurants in Berkeley.

A quick Follow-up

OK. We stayed at the Happy Hills Campground and we found management to be very friendly and personable. We stayed in F7 which is a pull through FHU. I would characterize this campground as a bit quirky in that the seasonals/full timers dominated. They are the only ones who can use carts or 4-wheelers and they use them all the time. It was the off season so the pool was not open and the camp store was not stocked and kept weird hours. The grounds looked well kept but it was still early so vegetation was still sparse. It has a dog park which was enclosed but it used to be a horse corral so it is not pretty It got the job done.

The road in was narrow and twisty but not a big deal.

We used the CG as a jump off for Berkeley Springs. As the crow flies the CG is less than 2 miles away but the river means you need to take a 12 mile round about way in. The town and springs are quaint and very interesting. Highly recommend Taris for dinner. We would go back but not for a long weekend. Perhaps a day trip.

Thanks Marty,
Been thinking about a weekend at Happy Hills as it's about 1.5 hours for us.
It looked seasonal dominant from all reports.

We may just go on to Candy Hill. It's one of our favs.
