Where are you camping on Thanksgiving weekend?

Several years ago the DW and I camped at Morris Merry Meadows in Maryland over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was a great time other than my Macbook Pro hard drive didn't want to cooperate. This tragic event cause me to go to the Apple store on Black Friday. I wish the place wasn't quite as busy.

Anyway, we are considering camping again this year provided we don't get any snow and ice. We are looking forward to a cold weather adventure with our 2016 Columbus 320RS. Is anyone camping in VA,PA,NY,OH, or MD over Thanksgiving? If so, where and why did you choose that campground?

Thanks, Tim

Hmmm. I don't know yet, but we will be camping. Sounds like a 4 day weekend to me.

In that region, I'd either look to see if anything out OCMD is open (I doubt there is). Maybe Elk Neck state park- it's real nice there. OR, I'd just run south in search of slightly warmer weather (Mrytle Beach or so).

For me, since I'm not there right now.. we have no idea where we'll be for Thanksgiving yet. But, we do need to get reservations in since we'll be in Southern California.

Rodman dam state park. This will be the 1st thanksgiving in a camper. We usually host about 12 people and this year invited everyone up to campground to join us. If successful it will be a new tradition. If not, well. A bad day of camping is still better then a great day at work. Plus we will have the rest of the weekend to recoup. We have good friends in a motor home that will be camping with us as well and they can pull strength in while we back in so awnings are together with 10x10 tent in between. 2 kitchens are better then one.
