Val Vista Village Mesa, AZ. Great CG. Every activity under the sun. Great friendly people. We've spent the past 3 winters there.

We also love Wekiwa Springs State Park in Florida. The kayaking is wonderful and the springs are wonderful for swimming.
We love Wekiwa Springs SP too. Surrounded by nature but so close to lots of tourist stuff. And for us, close to family in Orlando and Longwood. No Wekiwa this year They are upgrading the campground.

For active and retired military personnel - Cheatham Naval Logistics Annex in Williamsburg, VA near Colonial Williamsburg. "Gated community" or should I say "Guarded Community". Greeted at the entrance by a friendly welcoming committee carrying high-powered rifles, handguns, tazers, etc, etc. Best RV park that taxpayer dollars have ever built! Just constructed within last few years - concrete pads, all with full hookups, manicured lawns, water access, individual private showers. http://get.dodlodging.net/propertys/...Cheatham-Annex

Glen Ellis Family Campground, Glen, New Hampshire (just outside of North Conway) Right in the middle of the White Mountains offering tons of activities. The campground is bordered by not 1 but 2 rivers.

One of the absolute Gems of the KOA system, is the one in Herkimer, NY - it's only a couple minutes north of the I-90 Thruway ... these are from our stay back in 2010; that is the West Canada Creek running right behind our TC. Stayed a week, the Fall colours were drop dead gorgeous. The grounds were immaculately groomed.

Nicest Campgound ever visited

Hands down Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge TN. Absolutely breathtaking views of lake with Great Smokies in the background. Situated on Douglas lake which is reported to be a million acres in size. Everything at this campground is in my opinion first class.

We looked at that spot while in the area this year. Nice nice nice. We debated on taking a few days there on the way home but couldn't make it happen.

Natural Tunnel State Park

I was really blown away by Natural Tunnel State Park in Virginia. It is not far from Cumberland Gap. The campground was immaculate, the facilities were recently renovated (in the Lover's Leap Loop), and the staff was incredibly friendly and supportive.

The campground features hiking trails, trout fishing, bike trails, river rafting (nearby), and some of the nicest campsites I've ever stayed on. What impressed me most about the facilities was how level and well maintained they were. Lots of space, easy turns, etc... they even had reflectors bolted to the tarmac to help guide you in at night.

Inside the park, there is also a conference and events center, a beautiful pool, and a really cool chairlift that takes you down to the railroad tunnel.

Very impressive place.

Toad River Lodge at MP 404.6 on the Alaska Highway in a FHU site that backs up to the lake. When you get up early, you may see a moose walking through the campsite next you. Then you can watch the sun set behind the mountains as a flock of swans land on the lake. It even had good WiFi, which is very unusual anywhere in the Great White North!

No dogs allowed until after Labor Day. Disappointing.

Where is the nicest RV/Campground you've been?

I will have to say Anchor Down in Dandridge, TN. We just got back from there after spending a week, everything in that park is first rate. Even though the lake was down from the lack of rain this summer it was still a great experience.[ATTACH]120674[
