Probably any of the COE or State Park campgrounds in this state. Lake Dardanelle State Park is close to the top.....mostly because it's very nice, spread out, large sites, and I like to fish that lake........plus it's 44 miles from home......and about $15 a night. COE campgrounds seldom have sewer hookups, but are about $9 a night for us old folks.

Devils Garden in Arches National Park. Camping is in the middle of a surreal landscape that you can walk thru in every direction. This picture is of the campground, if you zoom in you can see the campsites along the road. We love the natural surroundings rather than the amenities of campgrounds. ( our camper is the one at the top of the hill on the right)
JFK COE park below the Greers Ferry Dam at Heber Springs Ark. Walk from your campsite to the Little Red River for Trout fishing. it is always cool there because the water is coming out of the dam just upstream a little piece. No Sewer but water and electric

Mistletoe State Park about 35 miles West of Augusta, GA on Lake Strom Thurmond. Huge lake, plenty of fish, boat rentals, 50 amp and gray water dump [no sewer but dump stations].
You can park your boat just a few feet from your RV. Its about 5 miles North of I-20 and 15 miles North of Thomson, GA.
Second best would be FT. Desoto Park just below Clearwater, FL and out on a peninsula in the gulf. Again, you can park a boat right next to your unit. Lots to do in the area.
Third and last, Jolly Roger CG on Grassy Key right next to Marathon Key, FL. Our bedroom was 6 ft from the water. Once again with the boat, just here you have to tie up at their dock. Full hookup with 50 amp. We spend each Christmas and New Year there. Love the place and the gulf water. Eat at The Wooden Spoon restaurant across from the Marathon airport. Best breakfast in the Keys!

My favorite is Sycamore Lodge in Pinehurst, NC. It is a travel resorts campground so you must be a member of travel resorts of America or coast to coast to stay. It is very nice and relaxing. Nothing to do in the area, closest grocery store is 30 min so you can just take a deep breath and relax. It has a pool, nice playground, horseshoe pits, corn hole, minigolf, volleyball, shuffleboard, basketball, stocked catch and release lake, koi pond with waterfall, a waterwheel at one of the cabins, dog park, kids rec room and kids activities. It also has adult social activities like meet and greets, bands, movie night, haunted house in October, etc. Only downsides are it is hard to get a spot and almost impossible to get a full hook up/50 amp site. One section has really tight sites, the rest are s good size. Here are some pics.
Kerr Lake at satterwhite point/JC Cooper campground in Henderson, NC also gets a gold star. This campground is also in the middle of nowhere so don't come expecting to find a lot to do in the area. It is a state park so it is reasonably priced at $25/night. Some sites have water as far as 100 ft away but they all have 30 Amp hook up. It is a beautiful campground with gorgeous views, a nice playground, a great beach, boat ramp, and trails. Our site was huge and had waterfront access/views. Tight maneuvering the twisty campground roads with a forty foot fiver but well worth it.
Gotta be Schoodic Woods NP,pull thru sites widely spaced, brand new, new bike trails, quiet, ferry to Bar Harbor, 25 minutes to Ellsworth,45 to Bar Harbor by road, Island Explorer free bus service

For us the nicest place we have stayed has been Topsail too. The clean, pristine beach is the reason. Sites and campground are really nice also. Included a link for my review of the park with some additional photos peppered in.
