Where to go on first with our new E-Pro E16bh

We pick up our new E-Pro E16bh saturday. After doing a trial run near home, trying to decide where our first adventure should be. Any Suggestions?

We live in Gainesville, FL

Someplace your wife will like. Remember better to spend more time camping and less time driving.

Take a short drive and visit a few near by camp ground and see what they are like.
We have a handful of favorites all less then half an hour from our house

Congrats! Nice unit. Take two note pads so you can each jot down what to take, leave, and change! We camped in the drive way for a weekend and never once walked into the house, DW can out stare anyone and we freaked out the neibs. But from that we learn where to start, now we have two definative lists for both hot and cold weather.

RVing is an artform, everyone paints a different picture........

Ask any thing here for help.

May I be the first to suggest some form of power protection, water pressure control, and a blender...

Paynes Prairie...close and really nice...a great 1st trip around Gainesville. Also, Cedar Key campground would be a good choice. And if you can get in, Anastasia in St. Augustine is really neat. Lots of choices!

Some nice campgrounds in the Ocala National Forest. Then there is the Silver River State Park near Silver Springs. Or the Suwannee River State Park just west of Lake City. Jetty Park near Cape Canaveral.

We live near Gainesville. It’s tricky this time of year to get a camping spot because of the snowbirds. State parks are nice, but it’s difficult if you don’t put in reservations way in advance. Ft. Desoto in St. Pete is great. We will camp at Gamble Rogers state park in Ormond Beach in a few days. We also enjoy Georgia state parks. I organize the Florida FROG Fest the end of September at Williston Crossing RV Resort in Williston, if you are interested. You can find the information under the Rally Zone here on the forum. It should say something like September 28-31...

As I have said in other posts, Ginnie Springs Outdoor campground is a great place to go. We'll be holding our 40th year of Petro's Camp the last week of April. There are 7 springs on the Santa Fe River, within GSO cg. There are sites with water & electric or you can "dry camp" in other areas of the cg. You can't go wrong at this place.
