I can also vouch for Twin Lakes. If you want to be close to all things urban yet feel like you are in the boonies this is your place. We have grandchildren close by and visit often. I have to chuckle regarding your remark about snowy/cold weather. Mass. has lots of snow removal equipment. Georgia has NONE. When it snows, or worse yet a little ice hits the ground, everything STOPS until it is gone. Traffic becomes one big Demolition Derby.
