Thumbs up Whispering Winds Campground Sheffield PA

Just got home from 1.5 weeks @ Whispering Winds Campground in Sheffield PA, in the Allegheny National Forest. We were visiting the area for a graduation in Warren PA.
Wanted to take a minute & say if you’re in the area this is a great little campground. It’s small, only about 20-25 RV sites with full hook up.
Ann & Wayne are in their second year of owning this little gem.
When they took over it was pretty run down. They have been busy making upgrades & repairs as they go. Wayne cleans the pool himself every morning.

What the campground lacks in big fancy amenities is more than made up for by the eagerness of the owners to please.

Our site didn’t have a cable hookup. I normally only carry 2 - 10’ lengths of cable. I asked Wayne where a nearby Lowes or HD was & if he would mind if I went out & bought some extra cable & ran it to a unoccupied site that had a cable jack. He stopped what he was doing & grabbed about 50’ of cable from his shop & ran it for me.
We had an issue with the electric @ the pedestal. The next day I looked out the window & he had his electrician out to troubleshoot.

These people will go out of their way to make sure their guests have a nice time.

I just hope after a couple years they don’t get that “Indifferent” attitude!

My wife and I stayed in this lovely campground and as you say,it is small and doesn't have all of the amenities as the "Big" campgrounds have, but, the owners are great and the showers are clean and hot. We had a nice trip to Warren to visit some friends and this quiet campground was a blessing. We would definitely go there again to camp.
