That would seem to be a reasonable solution, wouldn't it? However, the PA DCNR Park Rangers don't operate on a "reasonable" level of critical thinking. Everyone is automatically guilty. If they see you with a "cup" or a "glass" around your campfire, they will come a-knocking. They're really just a-holes on a power trip, mostly. You could be sitting around your fire, quiet as church mice, and they'll still find a way to bust you.

Seems to me a movement or lack of..should take place... EVERYONE should protest the no alcohol policy in Pa...Stay away from those campgrounds for a weekend ..Preferable Memorial Day Weekend....Do you think that would get their attention ??

Our home campground has a strict 11pm quiet hour. The owner always takes a tour of the park between 11:15 and 11:30. If you are making too much noise you are given a warning and the will return about 1/2 hour later and if you are still making a disturbance you are asked to leave. If you get out of control the OPP are called in and you are escorted out of the park only to return later in the morning to collect your RV. You are then put on the black list and are no longer allowed in the park. They allow campfires but if there is a county wide fire ban because of dry weather then the ban also effects the park. The owner is the fire inspector for our township.

We like campfires alot so if we stay home we have one in the back yard in our 30" ring...........So what is camping with out a campfire.....It's like having a new camper in the driveway with out a tow vehicle That is the relaxing time at the end of the day.

No campfires allowed within Myrtle Beach City limits. I think most surrounding communities ban them also, not even in your raised fire pit that you brought with you. 2-3 years ago, there was a very large forest fire just 6 miles west of the intercoastal because someones "leaf fire" got away from them I believe.
