Williamsburg Va KOA

Has anyone been to the above CG? My family wants to go to Busch Gardens/Williamsburg this summer and I'd like to get some opinions before I commit.

We've been to the area a couple of times some years ago so I won't comment on the park. I'd just like to recommend the original Jamestown Colony digs assuming they're still working there. We were fascinated with the process of unearthing original artifacts/structures and then reproducing them.

I haven't camped there but you might try the Newport News city campground, no sewer hookup, just power and water. Very rustic and shaded just a short drive to Williamsburg and Jamestown.

We stayed at American Heritage RV park a couple years ago and found it to be very nice. Full hook up, shady, quiet, and friendly hosts.

We stayed there last spring break with my inlaws. We were in our Rockwood Roo and they in their Forest River RV. They are very particular about campgrounds. We did Busch Gardens and Williamsburg. I think we got a discount for Busch Gardens from the campground. Very nice camp ground. If I remember correctly they have two different sections and one is more family oriented, which is where we camped. Good sites, some are even on concrete pads. A few different kids activities. Very quiet at night. I would go back in a heart beat.
