Yogi bear Quarryville, Pa.

Will be taking the TT to this campground in a few weeks. Traveling from Charlotte, NC. Would prefer driving up I81, then via hwy 30 to York/Lancaster. Cannot find an easy way to get to the campground from there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looks like it might be easier coming north on 222, but that is not a nice drive from NC.

We were just out that way this past weekend. From 30, 222 and 272 south run straight through downtown Lancaster city. I couldn't come up with a better way and just did it. Dually and 37' 5th wheel was not any kind of fun through there but made it. Its a tough area to navigate as very few roads cross the Susquehanna river.

You could run 30 to 83 south in York and then get 74 east toward Peach Bottom, then take 372 east into Quarryville. Still a roundabout way, but they are all like that out there. 372 is fine with a big trailer, I drove some of 74 and what I saw looks ok. Just don't get off 30 onto 74 east in York or you go through downtown York.

That would probably be less hassle than trying to get 222 and come north.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a great campground, but really hard to get into. Might do the 83 route. Sounds better than going directly through Lancaster.

We were just there coming from CT. Spent a week and left on July 5th. It was our second time going and I still haven't found a stress free way to get there. Plus my GPS tries to get me to take parkways that don't allow trailers. Good luck finding your way. It's a nice campground!

Thanks Ksting. Hoping that 74 and 372 will be the answer. Will let you know how it goes.

Good luck with the campground, we went 2 years ago and weren't impressed, especially for the price.
