0-60 acceleration time is about 6 seconds??

Not towing Watch my truck video and tell me is this below, typical or above normal performance.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/61eSfGF3LYsPYxM78

I have a 2005 Ram diesel supposedly stock 4wd longbed 4 door dually truck. 5.9L, 48RE. Truck weighs about 8200 lbs according to scale with 2 people.
And it runs really good and smooth most of the time. Sometimes the idle feels a little rough not like a gas car where you cant even tell engine is running.
I just dont know if that is normal or not.

Any ideas? I was wondering if a prior owner boosted the HP with bigger injectors. They had used the truck for towing.

A Diesel Dually has tons of torque and traction. I wouldn't say it's not possible. They're quicker than you'd think.

I could see my truck doing it.. '07 F-350 CC LWB Dually.

I've never pushed it that hard so I don't know for sure.

You need to re-watch your video and check the time.

You started accelerating about 1 second in and hit 60 at 11 seconds in, that's 10 seconds. Around 8-10 seconds 0-60 is normal for a stock truck, which yours seems to be.

6 second 0-60?

Congratulations. Your truck is faster than a 2017 Dodge Challenger GT AWD.

This right here. I watched the video and see the same thing. 0-60 in 10-11 seconds which sounds normal for a truck that size and year.

Yeah, I was just counting in my head not looking at the google clock.
So it seems about stock then.
To me it this sure has a lot of pickup power for a big truck.
I also let off the gas a little early, as I was originally thinking go to 55 for the road as that is the speed on that road. But then when I looked down I saw it was at 60 already.

Thanks for looking at it and thinking about it.

Most Dodges and Chevies can do it in about 90 seconds, although, some tow trucks are quicker. LOL.
