'13 6.7 pulls incredibly well on first trip!

We had not been able to camp since early October and it was killing me, especially since I bought a new truck to pull the 5er with and hadn't been able to go due to scheduling and weather. We camped at Ft. Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia which is very near our home, but a really good park. The 6.7L handled the load better than my '10 6.4 did especially in acceleration and smoothness in shifting. The new truck was exceptional, but does fall short in one area. The engine braking on the 6.4 was better than the 6.7. Still, I am very pleased both by the truck, and the great camping experience with several friends. Even though it rained Friday and early Saturday morning, what started out as a two camper trip, turned into a 5 camper trip. Great winter camping trip!

That's great Golf! Looks like some nice camping for sure! Most of the comparison tests I've seen, has the Ford's engine brake lacking and the drivers wanting more, but I thought they increased it. I've noticed on my 3500 that the engine brake seems a little heavier than my 2500, but it could be just my imagination also.

I'm glad to see it pulls it well I am itching to get mine hooked up to test but currently don't have the "companion" hitch to do so. That will be resolved shortly and I'll drag the 5er out for a quick lap around the block.
That park looks really nice, might need to put that one on my short list since it's not too far from us..

The engine brake is one thing I read that ford said is improved on the 2015 super duty. It will now have it's own engine brake button. Instead of it working through tow haul mode.
