I not getting the 149 lbs over on dry weights - I guess if you don't put anything in the 5er you only be over only 149 but if load with a typical load it will probably be between 600 and 1200 lbs over weight. So guess my question is how far over weight do you feel is fine - 500 or 1000 or 1500 or 2000 or is it along as moves it's ok.

I just looked at my heaviest weight on my Montana the GVW of the truck was 11,380 of the 11,500 GVWR and I was within 480lbs of max axle weights with 5er wheel weight of 14,800. That was a 30 day trip my normal GVW is about 11,100 lbs and front living room with front basement is only 32" wide.

I don't know the recommendations/standards for a 5er like I do for a TT. Sure, 146 lbs isn't much to worry about, when it's only about 1% of total weight. But that's just the dry condition, right?

Whatever goes in that Super Pass-thru storage is going to be there every time, right? I've seen those when camping in a group, and I know that kind of tools and other heavy stuff that gets kept in there. So loaded pin weight will go up by a lot.

But any offset in the rear from toys...may not always be there. I'm sure there will be times you want to go camping, and not take the 4-wheelers, golf carts, or whatever else you plan to haul. For those times, I would want to know how much pin weight is too much pin weight? 146 lbs is nothing. What about 300 lbs? 500? 800?

146 lbs Over and what to do?

Post this on irv and the combination will explode once it is put in drive.

Enjoy the rig, and happy camping.

Jim34L has asked some good question, manufactures always leave themselves a safety cushion. You need to take the numbers Jim34L's going took up for you, then spend sometime at a truck scales getting the light and heavy weights on each axle and the total weight of your TV and TT, then the combine weight of both units. That's the only way you can be really sure.

X2. He might even find he is 146 pounds under maximum.
