1st time camper

I am a new camper (have not picked up my R-Pod yet). I have a 2010 Dodge Caravan V6 with dealer hookup ready for pulling an 3,000 pound R-Pod. I was hoping to find out the height that should be maintained at the hookup position. My trailer hitch seems low at the point of connection and would like to know what height I should connect from my car to the rpod trailer hitch to maintain a fairly level rpod load. That is, what height should the ball be at. Also, I am going to purchase a stabilizer and would like to know what anyone might be using. I was told that a weight distributiion bar is not needed. Hopefully, it is'nt. I have purchased the electric brake wiring and box which I assume will be of great help and the surge protector which I am assuming is used by everybody?????

Thanks very much in advance for any heads up on these issues.

Schuster,

You want to keep the trailer level. After leveling the trailer get the height of the top (inside) of the coupler. The top of you hitch ball should be slightly higher to account for the backend dropping some with the weight.

Good luck
