2003 Expedition 5.4L, anyone tow with this?

I am now looking for a new TV and have a chance to get a 2003 eddie bauer expedition 4x2 5.4L auto for a good deal, it is loaded and very nice. Maximun loaded trailer weight is 8900 so it is rated higher than the F150 it will replace. Do you have one and what to tow with it? Please let me know any feedback.

Thank you,

Dan

Our friends that we camp with have the 2003 expy and I believe it is the Eddie Bauer edition with the 5.4L fully loaded and they tow a 2003 Jayco 29BHS with it and have no problems. I believe the GVWR of the trailer is 7500lbs. It's a very nice vehicle!

Hi Dan,
We have a 2010 Eddie Bauer Expedition EL and tow a Tracer 3150BHD with it. It is longer than the one you are looking at, and with the EL, the extra room behind the 3rd row seating is great. We have 3 kids and it gives them plenty of room and everyone is comfy and happy. The 5.4 has decent power for towing, just do not be afraid to let her rev. ;-)
Best Wishes,
Chuck

We just purchased a 2011 Expedition Limited. two wheel drive, standard length with a 9200 pound tow rating. We are towing a Flagstaff V-Lite 30+ footer and so far, no problems. The temperature gauge doesn't move off the normal mark. The gas mileage is another thing though. At 55mph with the a/c on we get about 9.5mpg. Increase speed to 65mph and we are down to 7.5mpg. But, it is comfortable to drive. So I say go for it!!!!
