2003 FX4, 26RR - What hitch

I have a 2003 FX4, 3:55 gears, 5.4L. Truck is solid. I'm a bit of a gear head having raced cars and boats most of my life. I've done the math on the towing and have a question about the hitch. Trailer is 5110 dry with 715 lbs of tongue weight.

The dealer is giving me the ole "buy it from us and let us install it" speech. Wanting $700 for that privilege. When I ask them which hitch they want to install the say the Equalizer E2. When I do the math and research I come up with the Equalizer E4 1000/10000 part number 90-00-1000.

Any thoughts on why a dealer would be telling me to use an E2 hitch with this setup?

That will be over 6k loaded, would definitely go Equalizer 4 point. I paid $700 installed when I bought my trailer

Thanks FX2. I've been researching a trailer now for over a year. It's my first travel trailer before.

Ok, so the trailer is on order and I have the hitch. I've called three dealers and have received three different answers on the height of a wolfpack 26rr. The height of a brand new unloaded 26rr should be consistent.

So far I've received 24", 21" and one even said between 22 and 24". The said all these measurements are to the top of the hitch, which is strange because all hitch setups call for the measurement to be taken from the ground to the bottom flange of the trailer hitch.

Does anyone have a wolfpack 26RR who can tell me what that measurement is? I get the feeling the dealers are being wishy washy because they want the service work to setup the hitch.

Thanks
