2008+ Chevy owners without DIC...

Dont know if you guys know but you can purchase a piece with the vent grill that sits on left side of your steering wheel with buttons from your dealer. If you dont have one of course
All 2007 1/2+ chevys come with the harness installed. By doing so you will get all the alarm programming options, mpgs, tire pressure info and most important tranny temp.
Piece is about 90$

And for about 20 dollars and your smart phone you can get that and a whole lot more. A ODBll dongle and an app like Torque and you have access to everything that GM programmed available at the ODB port.

Yup, good luck doing that while driving, and towing a trailer

no, my point here in this post was... most people with even basic regular cab, work trucks could have all that info on their dash, same info that comes with LTZ fully loaded models.

BTW, i have Torque app and dont use it on the cell phone, i use it on my stereo in my truck. Check the link underneath...
Before you change your headunit, consider this !!!!! : Mobile Electronics

I prefer my Aeroforce Interceptor (not that I don't appreciate the stuff the existing display shows). Shows dozens of data points and includes extras like being able to turn on the cooling fans if necessary. Their customer service isn't great according to some online but I had to do a swap and they were ok.
