Man that sucks! Hopefully you don't get the famous crack in the dash to go with it.

Aahh... you guys don't have to worry about the critical stuff.
Its always the interior trim, and wire harnesses that go obsolete first.
#1 they are big and bulky and take up alot of space.
#2 there are a lot of different options out there so a large amount of stock would have to be on hand for #3
#3 these are very slow to sell, since there is VERY low demand for the parts most of the time.
We rarely have to replace interior trim parts, other than from airbag deployment. And honestly, anything over 5 years old will most likely total in that event.
#4. Theses parts can easily be repaired, or aftermarket used, we have used dozens of trim repair guys over the years, and we have a guy that will repair most harnesses if we won't.

So don't fret, you just have to know someone that can help you figure out how to get your situation handled

Also keep in mind that some of the model years that are newer may have the same color interior with the same design, just a different color number. I replaced the old torn seats in my '01 Silverado 3500 with front seats from an '04, console from an '03 and the rear seat(with new center seatbelt) from an '05. And they all match, but have different numbers. When the seats are out in the sun, you can tell a slight difference in the fabric, but inside the truck, it can't be seen. And I bought them all from Ebay. I realize there may be differences with model changes during your years, but its just a thought you can file away for some of you guys that may need some for an older truck.
