2011 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Owners

I am looking at a new F250 CC 6.7L Powerstroke, and was wondering if I could get any feed back good or bad from current owners about this engine. I would just like to know if this new Diesel from Ford is as good as Ford proclaims it to be.

Thanks,

Mike

I have had my 2011 F350 with the 6.7 engine since Nov 2110. 17,000 miles so far and only issue was a Tech bulletin fix on the tranny that was fixed with no more trouble.

Good luck looking.

contrary to popular belief, this is not Fords first Diesel. Yes their american light truck motors were made by navistar but world wide they are just about the largest producer of diesel engines in the world. If you ever heard of duratech engines......overseas they have the duratorque line of car diesels as well as many others. In the fleet of trucks in the company I plow with, they have 2 and have had no issues, only problem is they are sooooo quiet they sneak up on ya.

I have 13K miles on mine and there have been no issues at all. Granted this is not that many miles for a motor that should do roughly 300K miles, but I am very pleased so far. I'm getting about 18mpg on the freeway not towing and roughly 13.5mpg while towing and I agree with Bunkfamily... man are they quiet, a big difference from some of the competitors out there. The towing experience is exceptional compared to the F150 I did have. It literally feels as though nothing is back there. I would highly recommend this truck with this motor and with the fuel prices the way they are I am pretty positive you can swing a great deal. Got mine for 3% over dealer invoice. The NAV package with the rear camera is awesome too!

So far, no complaints at all. The power of this engine will blow your mind. I will have my first real tow with my 5th wheel this coming weekend. I can't wait.

I have a 2011 F250, CC, longbed, XLT, diesel 6.7, 2 wheel drive, but I have only 5,600 miles on it with out any issues. It gets 18.5 MPG. I have not done much towing with it yet. Good Luck

I have a friend that tows a 40' toyhauler to Daytona and Talladaga for the races, he loves it and swears it is better (more powerful) engine than my 7.3.

I ordered a 2012 F350. Should take delivery of it next week. I have been looking at the forum here. http://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/f149/ Lots of information. As you look through the forum, keep in mind that most members will write about problems, not about how good their truck is. All my research says it is the best truck on the market. Can't wait till I get mine.

I have one and have 24,500 miles on it and tow a 15,500 pound 42 foot Cedar Creek 5th wheel. We live in Mi and tow to AZ. Round trip last year and back to AZ this year. We pull mountains with no problems and run around 70 to 80 mph all the time. 18 mpg with out 5er and 10 to 12 mph with the 5er.
I have always had Chevy Silverado's until I drove this Ford. There is more power then I need and we love the truck.
If you are looking for a truck, please do yourself a favor and drive the 2011 or newer F250 6.7 Super Duty Diesel Crew Cab. The most powerful and comfortable truck I've ever owned.

Well the deal is done! I took the DW to test drive the F250 today and she loved it! She loved it so much we brought it home with us. We got an incredible deal on it and unbelieveable interest rate. We are so excited !! Now I can't wait for our trip to Santa Rosa Beach, FL the end of April.

Congrats. I don't think there is a bad diesel on the market these days. Any of the new ones are great. We should all be thankful we can afford them.
