2011 or 2012 F350 6.7l SRW Yes or No?
So shortly after we ordered our trailer and had spent time on here, I knew that I would want to upgrade my truck. Currently have a 2010 F150 SCREW 5.4l. Trailer is advertised with a dry weight of right around 6,000lbs. Have a Equalizer 4-wy WDH. Weight wise, I'm pretty good. At least on paper, have not been to the scales yet. Truck seems to have the power a to pull and stopping seems good. Here is my concern. It is a a 34.9ft trailer. When towing, I feel like the rear end of the truck is getting pushed side to side. That and my trip to Elkhart and back the other day, on paper I got between 6 -7.4 mpg. Ouch
So, I'm looking at making the upgrade now. Looking at a 2011 F350, SRW, long bed and a 2012 F350, SRW, Short Box. Both have the 6.7l Power Stroke and are around 150,000 miles. Are either of these a truck I should not even consider? I have read of issues with the turbo's in these years. Can anyone speak to that? Let me hear it! Thanks
