Your tongue weight may be more like 1100 pounds; especially the "wet" weight. You may have to watch your payload. Forest River lists the dry tongue weight at 980 pounds.

Good night sleep and a clear head allowed me to run the numbers on the tow capacity worksheet.
As ^ said, I have to watch payload, I'm at 85% of GCVWR with no cargo.
Tongue weight and GVW is good.
I have about 500-700 #'s to play with and stay under 90% GCVWR.

So anyways we took the first real trip pulling the TT. Went about 160 miles from home to Oleno State Park. We went up I-75 traveling at about 60 mph. The TV was in tow mode. It pulled great, no sway whatsoever when big rigs passed us. Braking was great, no feeling of being pushed by the TT. Gas mileage sucked, about 9 mpg on average. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Next trip out, stop by some CAT scales. I think the numbers will surprise you. You might be over the truck GVWR and the GCWR.

Just to know the numbers? If he is not having any sway, pulling or other problems, what is it going to accomplish?

Oh I'm close to max just from the raw numbers. The WDH and sway bar did their jobs. Anything we loaded into the TT went in the rear bunk room. TV Tranny temp was 190-200. Overall I'm satisfied

I had a 2013 Silverado with the same set up & pulled a 35' TT @ 7029lb. I had no trouble towing with it 2,000 miles last summer when we went to Goshen. I loved it and would of kept this package but DW had her eyes something bigger.

Ya the truck is very comfortable to drive and ride in. DW feels very safe and secure in it. I may look at the new Dodge 1500. Not really a Dodge guy but the hwy mileage is supposed to be 23 24 or so
