2012 Ram Center High Mounted Brake Light

So, our grandson was sitting in the back seat on a trip we were taking when were driving through a real gully washer, and he said "Papa I'm getting wet"... Uhh, I said ?.. I looked and water was dripping on his head from the rear corner of the cab roof. As it turns out the seal around the brake light does anything but seal. Very common problem with many posts on the Ram forum. So I replaced the bulb as it broke from getting wet, and sealed the heck out of it.

X2, my dealer knew all about this one when they replaced the seal on mine.

Good to know. I noticed a water stain on my headliner over the rear passenger seat in my '14 RAM crew cab a while back. I guess I will be sealing that light tonight when I get home. Thanks for the info!!

Guess I'm lucky, my 12 2500 hasn't leaked. FWIW I've been totally pleased with my 12 2500 CTD. It had a bad TBC from the get go, but since that zero issues except for the grid heater recall. Never needed the N49 tie rod end recall either. Maybe I got a Wednesday built truck.

Had the same problem fixed in my 14 Ram after a car wash triggered the problem.

My 2011 2500 Mega has had a leak at the rear window also but it seemed to be in the corner, I suspected it may be coming in at the light and running to the corner / end before dripping. Weird thing is it has only happened a couple of times, then no more.
