I plan to track it on the return trip with a camper in tow and will post those results. I'll also add this- the truck indicated I had used .2 gallons more than what would fit back in the tank on the 93 run, so if I were to hand calculate my numbers would actually be a little better.

No. I wish! This was going to pick up. Just got home and got 9.6 on the 1k+ return trip with camper in tow, but forgot to get a pic- will try to remember to tomorrow. Camper showed right at 6k on the yellow sticker. Travel was at 65mph any time possible. Had some stop and go traffic on a few occasions and some city driving mixed in from detours and closed interstates. Was showing ~10.5 until I got into really hilly terrain and a decent headwind. As a reference, my FIL was right behind me in his 97 7.3PSD and got 19.6 unloaded going and 12.2 coming back with a similar size camper in tow.

I did have a tent in the bed, though. So I guess you could say I had my "camper" "behind" me. 😀

I have found ethanol reduces mileage at least 2mpg. Out west I was able to buy 100% and it ran better.

2012 F150 Crew Eco 3.73

Two weeks ago we traveled from Pittsburgh, PA area to Rochester, NY area and went through the Allegheny National Forest with plenty of hills. I was getting around 9 mpg in the hills and it recovered to about 9.5 after traveling the highways in NY. I averaged between 60-65 mph on the highways.
On the way home we stuck to the highways and got 10.

Best MPG ever!

I would like to see anyone ever top this.

Yes, it is real and yes the truck was under it's own power and unassisted.
