2014 toyota tundra

Not sure if anyone saw this but it was revealed at the Chicago auto show today. Not many big changes outside but completely different interior which looks very similar to the f-150. Here are a few pics.

Nice truck .....
Maybe someday they'll grow up and build a 3/4 ton or 1 ton ... just my opinion!

Turbs
That was asked to Toyota at the auto show and they said they don't have the capacity to build a completely different truck and that what they build they sell so as for an economic stand point it's not worth to build a 3/4 1 ton right now.

That and the fact that Chevy and Ford (together) sold more trucks in December than Toyota all year. No return on investment for Toyota.

Man.... I hate fixing beds from those wrap around bumpers.
- hope they fixed their u-bolts, we get more ripped out tundra rearends from light side hits than EVERYTHING else combined. Had like 3 or 4 in a row last year, helped my paycheck though!

Yes they are still. I have a 2013 crewmax and it has 5.5 foot bed works fine for me but others want a 6.5 foot bed. They really need to come out with it because people would buy. I forgot to mention that Toyota also did not change the frame or drivetrain or engines. Which the 5.7 is a monster and they felt they did not need to change or add other engines because they have had great success with the currant drivetrain and engines. I am very vey happy with my tundra and would buy a 2014 if I was in the market.

if i were buying today, i would have to give it strong consideration. they pulled the space shuttle with one w/o taring it up. they have to be well built to take that much abuse even for a short time. if they had rear end problems, looks like they solved it.

I still think that comm. Is funny! I think my rhino could pull the shuttle with that hitch settup!
Now if one could survive turbs- that would be a test.

The way I look at it in terms of towing, if they didn't improve power, strength or something along those lines, it's nothhing more than cosmetic changes.

Give me the F150 with the 3.2l I5 diesel and I am in. DPMag has spy photos as to a Ram 1500 with the VM 3.0 V6 diesel in it. Either way, 15 months or so from now, new TV is in my future and my tractor will be lifted and my play vehicle.

I bought a 2010 Tundra after acquiring my Sunline. Everyone discusses HP and rear end and tow/haul capacity, and the Tundra is competitive in those aspects. I bought the truck for the brakes.
Pulling a shuttle makes a good commercial, but you have to stop it coming off a W. Va. mountain road, too.

I get a kick out of people being impressed by the Tundra pulling the space shuttle. Have you seen what they use to move humongous planes around with at airports? And they do it day in and day out for years. Have you never seen a Worlds Strongest Man competition where they pull Greyhound buses? The point is that it takes VERY little to move huge amounts of weight around if on flat ground and rolling resistance is minimal. I've personally pulled trucks when weight training that weigh in the 5K range(And the average guy can get them rolling pretty good). Doesn't mean I'm as strong as a vehicle with a 5K tow rating, does it?

I was in the research group in Irving Texas last year on the tundra
They paid me 150.00 to evaluate the tundra, ford, gmc, Chevy, dodge

Ask me to come back the next day for a focus group of 7 ... Paid another 150.00

Saw a lot of the inside upgrades there , making a more high end interior

Front changes some

I ask the person doing the focus group , which trucks were rated on the floor
Overall looks
1- ram
2- tundra
3- ford
4- Chevy
5- Gmc

I agree, there is noquestion that the new ram is the nicest looking of the bunch, I still think my 08 2500 Megacab 4x4 was an awesome looking rig too at least on the outside.

Ya that is for sure what they did. Toyota said they didn't feel they needed to change engines or drive trains. One of those if it ain't broke don't fix it.
