2015 F150 3.5 v6 eco boost
Does anyone know if this 3.5 v6 Eco Boost can handle pulling a 2016 V Lite. (30WRLIKS). UVW weight is 7692. I'm pulling it now with a 2010 f150 5.4 V8.

30 plus feet is pretty long, and that TT is heavy !
Can you provide gearing and CCC for the Eco Boost ? Tow package ? Payload package ?
Bed size? Part of the country you live and RV in ?

The motor will have zero issues with it,(and handle it WAY better than the 5.4) Just make sure you aren't overweight on your stated capacities. My Ecoboost pulled like a champ but sadly my personal truck was lacking in the available payload compartment which I felt necessitated a move to a different Tow vehicle.

Ford shows that it has a towing capacity of 9,400-12,200 depending on your gearing, wheelbase, 4x2 or 4x4, etc. From experience I can tell you that the EcoBoost is one of the best engines I have driven in a pickup.
If you go to this YouTube site and look at the right hand side, it is a list of all the trucks they have tested towing close to max, up a steep grade to over 11,000 ft. It is a good test. The 2011 EcoBoost and other 1/2 ton trucks surprised them so much they had to increase the tow weight from 8,000 to over 10,000 just to try to get the trucks to struggle.

2015 3.5 v6 eco boost
Thanks for everyone's reply. I don't know gearing ratio. It is a loaded f150 2015. 4x4 lariat with short bed. Specs on that engine show it has 365 hp at 5,000 rpm. And 450 lbs.-ft @2500rpm of torque. It does have the tow package. I haven't bought it yet so that's about all I know. It's owned by a friend now.

You're looking at the wrong information for towing.
#1- you need the payload capacity amount from the driver's door yellow sticker.
It'll say "Occupants and cargo should not exceed xxxxlbs"
#2- find out the rear end ratio
#3- which cab?
Fully Loaded and Lariat are not necessarily good for towing. Cab size also affects it.
All that extra bling lowers payload capacity.

OUCH!
Well, that's what happens with a CC Lariat with only 3.31 rear end.
My wannabe truck, an Avalanche, has more payload than that and I want to get rid of mine.
And my trailer is a ton lighter.
That truck is a grocery getter with bling, not for towing a trailer like yours.
It probably has worse towing specs than your current truck.

The 5.4 is a dog towing compared to a 3.5 eco. That is even with the higher gears. If your 2010 can tow it, the eco will pull it with ease. Since you know the guy, ask him to hook it up and let you drive it towing.

There's no disputing that the EB will tow it.
But with only 1177lbs of payload, he'll exceed that when loaded for camping, with his trailer.
DRY hitch weight is 1067lbs, before battery, propane, water or cargo.
He'll be out of payload before anyone or anything gets in the truck.
That's a terrible payload for a half ton.

Does that make it right or safe?

Nothing is safe in life. Oversight, government intervention, nanny state stickers don't make you safe. Just watch the news.
More importantly, he is currently pulling the same trailer with a lesser truck.

I was in the same situation. I was pulling a 30wfkss with an 11 3.5 eco, 3.55 gears. The engine will pull it no problem, but it's basically impossible not to exceed your payload, and even with a good hitch setup, it probably won't be that comfortable. If your going short trips, it'll probably work out ok. I moved up to a ram 2500 gasser. The difference is night and day. It all depends on what you plan to do and your comfort level.

The engine will handle it, but as others have pointed out, the cargo carrying capacity is where this specific truck falls short. I can't find the 2015 Ford Towing Guide, but the 2016 can be found at: http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/g...0_r2_oct23.pdf
