No Way, would I tow that size TT, with a mid-size short wheelbase truck.
Even if I had a WDH with integrated sway control.

Actually I am from Canada and went form Mile to Kilometers. What I meant is that the truck speed went down to 82 KM, which is 51 miles per hour so I only lost 7 MPH on the second worse hills I have ever seen. Very happy with my choice so far.

Sometimes you gotta run what ya brung, at least initially...

My 2017 Colorado Crew Cab is a longbed with a 140.5" wheelbase...10"+ longer than a 2007 Avalanche, 6"+ longer than a 2007 Silverado 1500 Extended Cab shortbox, and 3" shorter than a 2007 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab shortbox.

That said, I think a Silverado 1500 is in my future...the Colorado would have been great with the 261BHXL we initially were looking at but the additional size/weight of a 282QBXL will simply be pulled better by a fullsize.

A diesel Colorado would definitely pull it better than my 3.6L gasser thanks to low-RPM torque and higher allowable weights, but with current incentives Silverados are cheaper than diesel Collys and the extra room/payload will be appreciated.

I'm using a 2015 4x4 canyon v6 and pulling a grey wolf 17bh. 4150 dry from the factory about 4800 loaded to go and a few hundred pounds in back of the truck plus my wife and i. Towed it 1200 mile round trip. North jersey to Michigan nascar race. Pulled fine I would say 60% of time in 4th gear 3100 rpms at 70 give or take 20% in 5th and 20% in other. Hill climbs through the Poconos 4k+ rpm in 3rd gear 60 to 65mph. Over all towed great equalizer 4 way hitch and 10.6 mpgs. From what I hear the 5.3 in a 1500 will not get much better mpgs I'm hearing 12 to 14 so I'm sticking with the canyon and would not hesitate to even go up another 5 or 600 pounds in trailer weight but that's about all.
