Well if DOT does pull me over, he better have a scale in his pocket
. Been pulling all kinds of stuff for personal and business and have never had anyone pull me over for weights
. But if you want to worry about it........
I ignore payload as when I go by the scales and do all the calcs, every other category is well within proper ranges. Except payload when I'm fully loaded with 5ver, extra fuel, water, and firewood in the bed. If you pay too much attention to that number you will never pull anything
I figure I'll be over payload when my stock truck is squatted past level
