2016 f250 6.2

Any body towing with the F250 6.2? Would like to know your thoughts on towing with the gas motor. Have a Miro Light right now but would like to upgrade in the future. My TV right now is a 2011 F150 with the 5.0. Looking at a 2016 F250 super crew with the 6.2.

I have a 2016 F250 Super Cab 6.2 4x4 with 3.73 gears, getting close to 10K on the mileage. I just traded up from a 2014 F150 of the same setup less, the 5.0 with 3.51 gears.

As the new truck is getting broke in, I have picked up a little mpg, or I am learning how to drive it... The new truck loses mpg while towing but is still way better than what the F150 lost when towing.

I have lost about 5 mpg doing my commute to work but do not care while gas prices are where they are now. If gas goes up, I will have to buy a cheap gas commuter.

I would never go back to the F150...

We are looking at several different makes and models. It will most likely be a pull behind, in the range of a GVW of 8500.

would be no problem with something that size, or a small 5th wheel. Make sure to get any options to increase GVWR. Makes your payload capacity higher.

The F150 will do the job. I do not think you will be happy with the driving experience. I am am at just 7K with mine and now feel good about traveling anywhere with my F250.

Just my thinking...

I am pulling about 8500 lbs with my '16 F250 6.2L. I really like it for the comfortable ride while towing verse former 1/2T truck. You may see some high RPM's in the mountains but it does its job. I do wish I would have gone for diesel for exhaust braking and extra power but...

F-250

I too have a 2016 Crew with the gas engine. Previously towed with Chevy 1500, Suburban 1500 and an Expedition EL with the HD tow package. The F-250 is massively better and took all of the white knuckle towing away. I love it but the gas mileage isn't great
