You are right, a 06 is nice and for the reasons you mentioned and from what I hear it can pull a house off its foundation

Not a Nissan Lover

My first TV was an 05 Titan. Stranded us 7 different times before it turned into a Dodge Ram! Same issue each time - the wiring harness for the tranny corroded and it would stick in 4th gear. I'm pleased with the Dodge - reliable, lots of power. Nissan has good cars but even Consumer Reports pans their trucks.

I'm hoping the Nissan XD with v8 diesel finds a niche as a heavy half ton with lots of Cummins V8 pulling power but softer ride. Assembled in Mississippi a good friend bought one with diesel for just less than $40,at season's end. As with all vehicles he has many choices in Nissan service where he is, I don't. We are both tired of electrical and rust issues on steel brake lines on our GM products. Only complaint I've heard is smaller fuel tank. Tough for Nissan to compete in a crowded lineup with GM, Ford and Dodge at the 250 lineup but a good heavy half-ton diesel v8 would be a welcome addition if quality is there

Hoping ain't going to get you there. With the diesel payload it is just another half ton.
