If by internet you mean RamTrucks.com, the factory web page, then yes, I guess we could go with what it says...

Now we getting somewhere. Can you give the link to the factory page saying both suspension carry the same amount of weight? I very interested in seeing that information from RAM factory page.

I have no "dog" in this discussion... I DO see people on here towing stuff I would not. We all have our own choices to make. I personally wouldn't take the chance to cheat on my DW...many do. I personally won't intentionally take driving risks with my family in the car..I have alone and others do. I personally won't take money/items from people/work...others do. I personally won't talk smack about DW or family...others do. I personally won't drink and drive...others do. You see what I am saying? I just think we are responsible for our family, friends and others on the road. If we speed, pull-out in front of someone, blaze a light, over tow, distract ourselves, drink and drive, etc.. We endanger others. That's where people get can get hurt or at the least get angry. Jesus said "Love your neighbor"

If you go to the RAM website and download their pdf you cannot find my truck on it.

I have a 2015 RAM 2500HD SB 4x4 Crew Cab with 6.7L Cummins, A6 trans, 3.42 rear.
On their chart I should have a front GAWR of 5750 and a rear of 6000.

On my truck the sticker says 6000 front and 6500 rear.

THE ONLY reason the truck has a GVWR of 10K is due to DOT regs. If you used this truck commercially and it was rated over 10k you would have to maintain a HOS logbook.

Will I ever tow over my GCWR no. I may exceed my payload slightly at some point though.

The leaf springs on a 3500 srw add 500 lbs to the rawr vs the 2500. Well, for a short bed crew cab 4x4 Cummins equipped truck. I pull with a crew cab short bed 4x4. 500 lbs. That is what you gain with a 1 ton srw. Nothing else. GCVWR is exactly the same. 25000 lbs.
