That's what Krown and Rustcheck are for.........winter climates suck in this regard.

Every truck made that is driven in the Northeast will rust, doesn’t matter the manufacturer or what they build the vehicle out of.
My 93-F150xlt, had it for 19 years and 147k miles. It had no paint left on it, rear wheel wells were missing and the frame literally vanished before my eyes.
My 06 Tundra SR5 (still own) has 171k miles on it, the body panels have held up great very little rust can even be detected just by looking at it, the frame... well lets not be in a hurry to look under the truck (it was recalled from Toyota for excessive frame deterioration but was only sprayed with a sealer and not replaced).
My 11 Ram1500 only has 51k miles on it and for the most part still looks great but the inside of the rear wheel wells is starting to show the typical wheel well rust of all Rams.
So buy what you like and enjoy it while you can!

I have owned Chevrolet and Ford trucks. Both of which I got good service from. Both of which like their trucks (pricey) than Dodge. I went with Dodge for my tow vehicle.

Concur... Shame on Chevy. Guess we'll have to keep the older models on the road longer

My buddy had all his wheel wells Line-X'd to avoid that problem. I'll probably get it done on my next new truck.

Used to be true for Olds dealers, Pontiac dealers, too.
I have a GMC because I bought from the #1 Buick dealer. She carries GMC trucks because she can't carry Chevy. GMC don't play that.

I bought my GMC from a dealership that sells Buick, Chevrolet and GMC.

I can tell you the GMC Yukon rides better (airride), quieter, performs better (suspension, engine, & drivetrain) than the Tahoe hands down. The GMC has the 6.2l over 400hp (50 more than Tahoe), AWD airride with a much more appealing look (ask my wife!)
As a person who has logged many miles behind the wheels of both (work and play), I'll take the Yukon any day.
Also, all the sheet metal is not the same. The GMC hood, bumper, grill, and fenders do not match a Tahoe at all. The chassis and main body shell I'll agree is the same.

Here's a better side profile of the Chevy. My interpretation from what I've read is the bed floor is steel but the side walls and panels are not.

Have you priced a Dodge Ram lately. To have the same level of truck that Chevy offer the Ram is $3000 more. My comparison Chevy LTZ to Ram Laramie. I don't buy bare bones trucks. Later RJD

The 6.2 is available in the Tahoe. Chevy/GMC have the exact same drivetrains. Saying that one drives/rides better than the other is like pouring a bottle of octane boost in the tank and saying you can feel the horsepower.

2017 or 2018 is the first year that the 6.2l was offered in the Tahoe, it was only the 5.3 until then. Dont know about the air ride.
The Denali has the magnetic ride control, dont think you can get that in a Chevy.
I think GMC fits inbetween Chevy and Cadillac. Personally I like all of the options GM offers.

The 2014 owner's manual says "Recommended", not "Required". So does the sticker inside the gas fill door.

Exactly. Thank-you.
Like I said, I've logged 80k+ miles in both, there is a difference that can be felt in the first 5 minutes of driving. Even the steering is lighter and more responsive in the Denali.
Some of you on here probably think a VW and a Porsche are the same too. Lol

Have you priced the F250 I have been a ford customer for many many years and always purchased a king ranch f250 diesel about every two,or three years. But when I went looking this year I found ford’s price had went up 10,000. Had to go,with the ram 2500.
