I see that I am late to the party, but I am also the proud owner of a 2004 Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton, sporting the 8.1 L engine and 4.10 rear end. It tows like crazy! I didn't buy it for the gas mileage, but I get about 11 or 12 on daily driving and not much less than that when towing.
