would pull our 15500lb max 2400 lb (loaded pin weight) Piper. After some help, with a 10000 gvwr on the truck, found some cat scales. Truck weighed 8100. Left 1900 for pin weight, riders, and firewood.
Circumstances allowed for a used 30000 mi SRW3500. New 2500 are not that great when it comes to payload either. Especially diesel 4x4 LTZs.
Yea, not much "wiggle" room on any of these for sure! I've determined that IF we decide to get a fiver then I will move up to a 3500 just so I won't have to worry about it. We don't want a huge fiver but the ones we like still push the 2500 over!
One weight saver is I have to stay in the LT model because we need the 40/20/ front seat for my "A-Driver"....
