This isn't an opinion. It's not an opinion that the driver counts against the payload. It's a fact. If a person doesn't know facts and spouts out incorrect information, it's better for that person to remain quiet. Otherwise, it muddles things up and it's difficult for the audience to uncover the truth.

You can argue that it doesn't matter, which is your opinion. Go for it. By all means, keep voicing your opinions. But, stop spreading misinformation, stop parroting counterfactual statements.

How could you know that? He didn't make this public statement in secret.

Moderator hat on:

Ok, let's take a breather here. It will take an awful long time to read this thread from a site team point. My question is, with over 240 posts, is there really anything else that needs to be stated or answered?

Probably just easier to delete the last few posts by me and the other gentleman who wants to double-down on his payload misinformation. May not be worth the last few attempts to nail that down.

I don't think the thread needs to be closed.

Its states right in the chevy towing guide that a 150lb driver and passenger is not counted in their payload ratings. Other manufacturers might but clearly Chevy does not.

It is you who are mistaken, at least about Chevy.

Well, we are going to "have" to close it as it appears some can't walk away.

Will most likely do a cleanup, if it's salvageable.
