5er/truck/hitch questions

Hello to all, we ordered a 2017 Columbus 377mb. The tv is a 2017 ram 3500 srw long bed, factory 5th wheel prep. We are considering a b&w 3600 hitch.
The pin weight should be around 3k or so ready for camping. The 5th wheel gross is 16k.
Any ideas on how much squat we can expect and rail clearance?
The tv is stock with 18in wheels.
Thanks
Ed

I don't know if it helps, but my 2012 Ram long bed dually squats about 2 1/2" when hitched up with about 2,500 lbs. pin weight.

Hitch choice is a great one- B&W or bust!

My 2015 Ram 4x4, long bed dually also squats about 2 1/2 inches. I have a companion B/W hitch. I was told to leave 6 inches for rail clearance.

to berger, can you double check something. you said your drw ram has 18 inch wheels. when we bought out 2015 drw 3500 we were told the only option was 17 inch steel wheels. does ram now supply 18 inch wheels? steel?

My 3500 drw squats a couple inches. Clearance over the rails is almost 6"... Trailer sits 1" high in the front (over 40' it is unnoticeable). My concern would be that the SRW trucks sit higher than the drws... might have more issues gett ok ng the bed rails clearance and keep the trailer somewhat level.

B&W is the only hitch for me. Great product, American made.

Thanks for all the info. Would it be safe to assume that a srw would squat a tad more than a drw or would it be about the same?
Any folks with a newer srw 1 ton out there?
Cheers,
Ed

the b&w companion 3600. I have a ram 3500 with the 5th wheel prep.
We ordered a 2017 Columbus 377mb that has a gross wt at 16k. It was a toss up between the b&w and a Curt hitch. I wanted a little more hight on the hitch in case the bed rail clearance is tight.

Cheers,
Ed
